Finally. iOS 9 has arrived with plenty of improvements that will get users excited for a new iOS experience. IOS 9 was made available on 9/17/15 but top reviewers got the update about a week before in order to prep new users. As soon as users see all of the new additions they could possibly have, they will be buzzing to get it. The main thing iOS users must understand is that the iOS 9 update is not a big visual upgrade like iOS 7 was a couple years ago. The outlook is still the same but more useful things have been added to benefit Apple users. New emoji’s seem to lead the topic of discussion between top reviewers because of the variety of additions to them. Taco’s, Burrito’s and Unicorns are just a few of the additions to emoji’s along with some cool new hand emoji’s. My personal favorite upgrade is the increased battery life of all iOS 9 updated devices. The update gives iOS users an extra three hours of battery according to “CNET”, which is a substantial amount and could lift users over a day of battery. The next addition which will benefit Burlington High School students is the split screen for the Ipad. You can now truly multitask with the ability to pull up two apps at once and even edit on both at the same time as well. Now copying homework will be so much easier! Another cool feature is the new 6 digit passcode where as before it was only allowed to be 4 digits. This ensures a super secure ios device and no way anyone could break in. Another cool product that will be running on iOS 9 is the apple TV, that according to Cult of Mac is going to be super clear picture and is set up just like any other apple device. Siri will also be getting smarter and people can now ask her more focused questions. Siri also has now been programmed to give you recommendations based on your usage. Contacts, apps, your location, and even speed dials are given here to make things more effiecient for you on your Iphone./ "The Verge" another very credible blog stated there is now a public transit app so that it makes it easier for users to understand the public transportation and also saves people time when figuring which transportation to take. It was also stated that the "Notes" app has been updated and checklists can even be made now. This update is sure to be one of the top ones to ever be brought out by Apple. Overall I've been very impressed with the update and the major improvements that Apple has made with iOS 9.
